Destroy PFAS without carbon or RO
The most effective ultraviolet system on earth, scaled to your unique flow rate.
PFAS, the "forever chemicals," don't break down on their own. The conventional answer is activated carbon or reverse osmosis, which is expensive to build and run and only moves PFAS into spent media or a waste stream that still has to be dealt with. UVX combined with our partner technology destroys PFAS directly, removing the need for carbon and RO.

Firefighting foam (AFFF)
One of the biggest PFAS sources there is
For decades, firefighting foam was sprayed in training, testing and emergencies at bases, airports, refineries and fire departments. It soaked into the ground and still feeds PFAS into groundwater and stormwater today. As departments switch to fluorine-free foam, the old foam, the tanks and the rinse water from cleaning out equipment all have to go somewhere.
Contaminated groundwater
Plumes under training grounds, crash-rescue stations and spill sites.
Stormwater and runoff
Rain carries PFAS off old foam-use areas into ditches, ponds and drains.
Foam change-out rinse water
Flushing trucks, tanks and fixed systems to switch foams creates PFAS-heavy rinse water that's costly to haul and dispose of.
Who owns the problem
Military bases, airports, refineries and terminals, fire training centers and municipal fire departments.
UVX with our partner technology destroys PFAS on site, so foam-contaminated water doesn't have to be trucked away or run through carbon.
How it works
UVX plus partner technology: one system, PFAS destroyed
We add a partner technology to the UVX system that destroys PFAS. Instead of capturing PFAS on carbon or concentrating it with RO and then hauling the waste away, the combined system breaks it down on site.
Conventional: carbon or RO
Large vessels of activated carbon or a reverse osmosis plant. High capital cost, constant media replacement or membrane upkeep, and PFAS waste that still needs disposal.
UVX + partner technology
The PFAS is destroyed, not stored or moved. No carbon change-outs, no RO reject stream, and no PFAS waste to haul away.
Disinfected and ready
The same UVX system disinfects the water at full flow with no toxic chemicals, ready for reuse, recharge or discharge.
Why UVX
Why it beats carbon and RO
| Carbon or RO | UVX + partner technology | |
|---|---|---|
| What happens to PFAS | Captured or concentrated, still there | Destroyed |
| Waste to dispose of | Spent carbon or RO reject | None from PFAS capture |
| Ongoing cost | Media replacement, membranes, hauling | No carbon or membranes to replace |
| Dark, dirty water | Fouls media and membranes; needs pretreatment | No pretreatment |
| Disinfection | Separate step | Built in, non-toxic residual only |
The engineering behind UVX stays private. Verified test results are available to qualified parties under NDA.
Where PFAS shows up
Sites we can help
Military bases
Decades of firefighting-foam (AFFF) training and use left PFAS in groundwater on and around bases.
Airports
Firefighting-foam use at crash and rescue stations, fuel farms and training areas has contaminated groundwater and stormwater.
Municipal wells and utilities
Groundwater supplies facing federal PFAS limits measured in parts per trillion.
Landfill leachate
Dark, high-strength leachate that's hard on every treatment step.
Industrial wastewater
Plating, coatings, chemical and semiconductor plants managing PFAS in discharge.
Sites replacing carbon or RO
Facilities tired of carbon change-outs, membrane costs and hauling PFAS waste.
Pilot path
Proof on your water first
- 1. Qualify and NDAWe review your site and water and share verified UVX test results.
- 2. Bench test on your concentrateYour actual water, run through UVX with the partner technology and measured by an independent lab.
- 3. Side-stream pilotOne compact UVX module with the partner technology on a side stream, running beside your existing treatment.
- 4. Scale to full flowAdd modules to match the flow the results support.
Qualified inquiry
For utilities, site owners and PFAS teams
We take on a small number of funded pilots. If you own a PFAS problem, or design and run treatment for those who do, send a short note with your site, water type, PFAS levels, flow and current treatment. We reply to qualified inquiries only.
