Sterilize fab reuse water with no pretreatment
The most effective ultraviolet system on earth, scaled to your unique flow rate.
Chip fabs run on water, and more of it has to be reused every year. The streams that matter most for reuse are the hardest for conventional UV: cloudy, high in organics and full of biofilm. UVX was proven on oilfield produced water too dark to see through. Fab reclaim water is easy by comparison.

The problem
Reuse water is where conventional UV struggles
A fab's ultrapure water is crystal clear by the time it reaches the polish loop. The water you want to reuse is not. Conventional UV needs clear water to work, so every reuse stream gets a stack of filtration and clarification in front of it, plus biocide chemistry that complicates reuse and discharge.
Biofilm and biofouling
Bacteria foul RO membranes, heat exchangers and piping, driving cleanings, downtime and membrane replacement.
Cooling-tower risk
Large cooling loops grow biofilm and Legionella, and the usual fix is a steady feed of oxidizing biocides.
Pretreatment cost and footprint
Filters and clarifiers built only so UV can see through the water take capital, floor space, power and maintenance.
Chemicals in the loop
Every biocide added is something to manage downstream, in reuse quality, in discharge permits and in worker safety.
Where it fits in a fab
Built for the dirty side of the water system
| Stream | What UVX does | Fit |
|---|---|---|
| Cooling towers | Full-flow disinfection of the loop to cut biofilm and biocide feed | Strong |
| Wastewater reclaim and reuse | Disinfects reclaim streams without clarifying them first | Strong |
| RO feed | Knocks down bacteria ahead of membranes to reduce biofouling | Strong |
| Discharge and recharge | Chemical-free disinfection before water leaves the site | Good |
| Ultrapure polish loop | Water is already clear here; specialist UV already serves it | Not our target |
Why UVX
What changes when UV doesn't need clear water
- No pretreatment: sterilizes raw, cloudy water that conventional UV must filter first
- 14× the kill per cubic foot and 8× per watt of conventional UV
- 99.99999%+ inactivation in University of Arizona testing
- Non-toxic residual in place of toxic biocides
- Modular: one compact module for a side stream, up to 100+ barrels (4,200+ gallons) a minute
- Field proven in oilfield produced water in the Marcellus, Permian and Anadarko basins
The engineering behind UVX stays private. Independent, verified test results are available to qualified fabs and integrators under NDA.
Pilot path
Zero risk to production
UVX never touches the process loop during evaluation. It starts on a side stream, so your fab sees the numbers before anything changes.
- 1. Qualify and NDAWe review your stream and share verified test results.
- 2. Bench test on your waterA sample of your actual reclaim or cooling water, tested against your targets.
- 3. Side-stream pilotOne compact module on a slipstream, running beside your existing treatment.
- 4. Scale to full flowAdd modules to match the flow the data supports.
Qualified inquiry
For fab water teams and integrators
We take on a small number of funded pilots. If you run water, facilities or EHS at a fab, or you integrate water systems for one, send a short note with your site, stream, flow rate, pain point and timeline. We reply to qualified inquiries only.
